The Iron Druid Chronicles, Book 1
If you're looking for a fast, funny read and you're a fan of mythology and magic in the modern world, here's a great pick. Atticus O'Sullivan is the last Druid, and is just trying to live peacefully, running his bookshop and hunting (in dog-form of course) with his wolfhound companion. He's also in hiding from a god he ticked off a few thousand years back, and that god has now decided to track him down in earnest, and try to off him once and for all.
This has been called the "logical heir" to Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series, and I think that fits. The best parts of this series are its characters, particularly Atticus' vampire and werewolf legal team, and his relationship with his wolfhound, Oberon, who has recently decided he's very much like to be the canine Genghis Khan.
An exciting, amusing read for fantasy fans - highly recommended! And if you want more reviews and similar-read recommendations, check out Hounded on our catalogue!

ReplyDeleteI recently came across Gianni Bini ankle boots and liked the variety of designs. I’m a fan of footwear that can add a little extra style without making an outfit feel too complicated. There are some really eye-catching options to choose from https://giannibinico.com/gianni-bini-black-dress-collection-timeless-elegance-and-style/ .
ReplyDelete这页面看着挺杂的，图书馆推荐旁边全是广告。不过我最近倒迷上了ai photo editor，编辑照片特别方便--直接上传，用文字描述要改的地方，浏览器里就能下载，简直比翻书还快。
ReplyDeleteThere’s something about sitting down with a warm cup of tea that makes even a busy day feel a little slower. I like the variety associated with Teavana because you can switch between different flavors depending on your mood https://tryteavana.com/mango-black-tea-official-product-page/ .
ReplyDeleteThere’s something fun about opening a bag of Sabritas and not knowing exactly which flavor you’ll want to try next. The different options make snack time feel less repetitive, especially if you enjoy bold or spicy flavors https://sabritasstore.com/sabritas-chile-y-limon-official-product-page/ .
ReplyDeleteThere’s something satisfying about using cookware that has a bit of history behind it. Revere Ware has a timeless look, and I can understand why people hold onto these pieces even after years of using them in the kitchen Revere Ware .
ReplyDeleteI’m usually drawn to home decor that feels comfortable rather than overly decorative. Casaluna has that relaxed look that works nicely when you want your bedroom to feel peaceful and inviting at the end of a long day Casaluna .
